<aside> 📌 This template enables the use of nested tags in Notion, allowing pages from the nested tag database to act as global tags. This could be an effective method for organizing your projects or resources. Here's how to integrate it into your workflow:

  1. Tags database: Have you used the sub-item feature when working with databases? The sub-item feature is described as: "Use sub-items to break large items into smaller, more manageable chunks" and can be shown as "nested in toggle". This is essentially how the nested tag system works. With the use of SUB-ITEM, it becomes possible to create a hierarchy of tags, allowing for a more organized and structured tags database. You can browse the existing tag examples or create your own parent tags and sub-tags when ready.
  2. Notes database: Create pages in this database and replace the regular tag property with a relation property related to the Tags database. A formula property is coded to display tags in a formatting style and color.
  3. Create additional project/resource databases using the same tag system: Duplicate the Notes database without content.

Hope this nested tag system helps you maintain a clean, organized structure that can be tailored to suit your unique needs. Happy tagging!
